Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th in 1980) is a famous American actor, singer and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career by performing in musicals, such as Wicked Blonde and Hair. The actress was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in the Play as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with many acclaimed directors and actors on stage films and television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career in the coming projects. Ashford's next project will be an exclusive Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film will air through Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford will be back in 2023. He will appear alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform this revival Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton production Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail are at the helm of the production. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main character in Ryan Murphy's new FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the national story of a scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key actors. Ashford played for two seasons in the CBS popular comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. A veteran of Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie. Her additional Broadway roles include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
